Agremo is Participating in the John Deere-KITE Demonstration of Precision Agriculture

Agremo announces participation in the project – Precision Agriculture – conducted by KITE, John Deere’s representative in Serbia to showcase that the precision agriculture techniques are more efficient than the traditional ones. Besides Agremo, the other participants are ZZ Bratstvo I Jedinstvo, SmartWatering, Agricon, NS SprayTek, Agrodron, and the Department of Agricultural Engineering of the Faculty of Agriculture, Novi Sad.

Stanko Oparnica, AMS manager at KITE DOO says, “To demonstrate that the precision technologies and techniques are useful in all agricultural operations- from sowing, fertilization, irrigation, crop protection to harvest- the project covers the entire growing season of several crops. It demonstrates how the different technologies of the participant companies can be applied in crop management through the use of a drone.”

The project is already underway, and collected drone data was exchanged and analyzed through the John Deere Operations Center, the platform that connects all participants.

Rastko Carapic, Head of Product & Services at Agremo explained, “Our Plant Stress Analysis precisely identified the zones of plant stress. The results of the analysis helped to do a treatment with a specialized drone DJI Agras T16/T20  on high and sensitive crops without damaging and compacting the soil.”

Since “Precision agriculture” is an ongoing project, the full effectiveness of using Agremo drone-based analyses and the newest technologies in agriculture, is expected to be shown at the end of this growing season.
